PLOT
Pyrgopolinice, a magnificent extollers of himself and his own warlike and amorous exploits, is reinforced in his boasts by a parasitic servant. Another servant, the ingenious Palestrione, recounts the antecedent of the story, and how he ended up in the soldier’s house to protect a young girl, engaged to his master and kidnapped by the soldier. The young man reaches his captive fiancée thanks to a wall pierced by the ingenious servant between the houses of the soldier and a neighbouring friend. A great hoax is finally played by the servant, young man and neighbour, with two prostitutes in disguise, on the scoundrel, who ends up surrounded, mocked and threatened with emasculation. (200 BC).
