Tens of thousands of people connected to our website and our online channels to follow all the activities we promoted in the emergency period, from the videos of past plays, to the cycle of lessons offered by scholars, artists, writers and directors. Many of you have asked us how to support INDA in this difficult moment. So we too, like other public theatres, have activated a direct channel for private donations.

Moreover, to keep the torch of the Greek Theatre alive, this year thanks to the many artists who wanted to test themselves with Greek myths and with the tradition of classical theatre, we organized “INDA 2020. For Solos”, a unique review, scheduled from July 10th to August 30th, with two special events and a series of monologues that will be held at the Greek Theatre in front of the empty cavea carved into the rock of the Temenite hill. Due to the health emergency, the shows will in fact have an audience of only 480 live spectators, but will be streamed from our website and followed for free by a global audience. In addition, it will be an opportunity for social solidarity, which will allow us to return to the popular vocation of the Greek theatre and to the original mission of the patrons who founded INDA more than a hundred years ago.

The Inda Foundation with its Academy of Art of Ancient Drama graduates young actors specialized in classical theatre. Every year hundreds of young people from all schools in the world participate in the Youth Festival in the magnificent setting of the Greek theatre of Palazzolo Acreide. With the Prometeo Projects and the Youth Forum, thousands of students approach the classical world, elaborating its themes and deepening its contents.
