PLOT

The women of Troy, devastated by grief, await their fate following the city’s fall. The Greek herald Taltibius announces the division of the female captives among the victors. Hecuba: the queen is assigned to the hated Odysseus. Cassandra: assigned to Agamemnon, she foretells the future misfortunes of the conquerors. Andromache: she is to be given as a prize to Neoptolemus, fully aware of the tragic fate of her young son Astyanax.
